What is GetGames.ca all about?
We are Canada’s Premiere Online Video Game Rental Service. We mail games right to your door and you get to play the games with no due dates and no late fees, EVER!
What is different than my local video store?
Usually, a video store only has little stock or older titles for rent. We have plenty of stock and every title out there! Also, renting a game from a video store can cost upwards of $10 and only for a few days with having to pay late fees or restocking fees. We don’t do that here. You pay for a monthly membership and have unlimited access to our inventory.
How do I get my games?
After you sign up, add games to your queue (we recommend adding 20 released titles) and we will start shipping them out through Canada Post right away!
How long does it take to get my games?
Canada Post states that it takes 2 days for mail in the same city, 3 days for across the province and 4 days to go across the country.
Where are you located?
We’re based in St. Catharines, ON, and as we are close to the Greater Toronto Area, we find that our mail is crossing the country in record times!
How do I send the games back?
In the game envelopes you receive in the mail, you also will have a Return Game Envelope. This is already pre-stamped so you don’t have to pay any shipping costs for your game. Just put your game back in the Return Game Envelope, seal it, and drop it in any Canada Post mailbox where you live, work or play!
How long can I keep the games?
Since you are paying a monthly membership fee, you can keep the games as long as you want! There are no due dates and there are no late fees, EVER! If you need that extra time to finish a game, or you can’t play for a few days, that’s OK. You have all the time you need to play your games without having to take them back within a few days.
If I mail the games back, how long do I have to wait before I get my new ones?
When you are ready to ship your games back to us, log in to your account and click on the Return It Now! button. This will let us know you are going to send a game back to us and we will ship out the next game in your queue right away! This cuts down on wait times so you don’t have to sit around without playing games.
I lost my return envelope. How do I get the game back to you?
Please return all games in an appropriate envelope and sufficient postage to:

How does the free trial work?
As part of our sign-up, you have the option to have a 2 week free trial. You can play our games for 2 weeks without your credit card being charged and if you decide that the service isn’t for you, we give you an extra 5 business days to mail the games back to us. If you think our service is great, then don’t do anything and we’ll keep getting you the games you want to play?
What happens if I lose a game?
If you lose a game, please contact our customer support at getgames@getgames.ca with the details. Please check our rental policy for more details.
What if a game is damaged/scratched/unplayable?
GetGames.ca inspects each game to make sure they are all in the best quality possible. In the unlikely event that the disc is damaged or unplayable, simply notify our customer support with the game name and send it back right away in the return envelope. If another copy of the same game is not currently available, we will ship you the next available game in your queue.
Do you rent video game consoles?
The cost of shipping consoles prevents us from doing so at this time.
What game consoles do you have games for?
We have all the games for XBox 360, Xbox, Playstation 3, Playstation 2, Playstation Portable, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Gamecube and Nintendo DS.
How does the game queue work?
Log in to your account and start browsing for games. We make searching for games as easy as possible. Once you find a game you like, click on the Add to Queue button. Once you add games to your queue (we recommend at least 20 to start), you can then change the order of them if you wish, putting the “must play” games at the top of your list. Keep your queue up to date with all the titles you want to play as we are adding more games to our list all the time!
Why am I not being sent any games?
Do you have at least 20 released titles in your queue? Some games are quite popular and we can’t always get out the number one game for you (we sure try though!). In order to make sure we have something for you, please make sure you keep at least 20 released (not upcoming) titles in your queue at all times.
